Workshops, Series, and Immersions

Our yoga practice can accompany us through the different stages and events of our lives and help us evoke the best part of ourselves. Join us on the 2nd Sunday of the month to deepen your understanding of yoga as a holistic health system, find motivation and support to develop your own practice or simply to reconnect with yourself and practice self-care. Each class will focus on a theme inspired by the 8 limbs of yoga and combine a short lecture, a set of practices related to the month’s theme and time for personal reflection and relaxation. Classes can be taken as stand-alone (pick the topics that interest you) or as a 6 months immersion (commit to your practice, get individual attention and save money).

Participants will receive a follow up email with suggested practices and a list of additional resources to explore in their own time. Video recordings will be made available to all for 1 week.

September 12 2021: Examining our motivation to practice using the 8 limbs of yoga as a guide

Often, typical yoga classes involve getting down on the floor and getting back up again…. and sometimes repeatedly through a whole class! This can prove challenging for folks who have taken a long break from activity or have mobility issues such as arthritis, disc degeneration, hip or knee replacement, size/weight, or general all-over-body creakiness from a life well lived.

In this virtual class with Kate Bradfield, we will do all of our balance and mobility work while either seated in a chair or standing. Be prepared to work in a focused way and bring the yoga practice to a level that is accessible to you. No one should feel intimidated or turned away from yoga. This practice is for everyone who wants to move and breathe and feel connected to self.

6 weekly sessions | Tuesdays | 11:00 – 11:45 am
$90 for the series or $15 for individual sessions

As the new year begins, join Douglas Ridings for an early morning immersion that will help you establish or renew a daily practice. Flowing movement will provide building blocks to strengthen your practice and invite new challenges. A daily meditation will deepen your focus and presence, carrying from your mat into the day ahead.

Over the course of the two-week virtual series, you’ll move with your fellow yogis from our darkest winter mornings toward the growing light, a powerful reward for committing to these daily mornings on your mat.

Memberships and class cards can be put on hold upon request. Please note that, unlike our regular classes, recordings of the livestream will not be shared after class.
